I don't know why terrible things happen to us sometimes... But I have to believe something good will come out of this. Well, if you've been following anything on my channel, you know Betty has been having some issues...on April 7th she turned 10. On April 12th we found out she has sever arthritis in her back and front left hocks and can never jump again. She's been given hock injections and I've been going out everyday and walking her and brushing her and just spending time with her. She's stuck in her stall until Tuesday and she's not happy about it. I took her on a walk and she reared up multiple times kicking out and pulling on the lead. I will hopefully be able to start riding her again at the end of next week. I'm going to miss jumping so much and I know she will too. It's something that we both love, more than anything. The feeling of being completly free and happy means the world to us and we're going to miss it so much. When I first heard the news, I cried. Jumping i! s my passion. I have sooo many dreams and goals for me and Bee and it seems that in one night they all came crashing down but I'm NEVER giving up on her. I've NEVER felt this connected to a horse. I'm just so grateful to at least be ableride her still. I can't imagine not being able to. Betty and I will now be working souly on dressage but I'll still be jumping Lanzi and sometimes the lesson horses, too. I haven't ridden Betty since February. The clips in the red are from my last ride and last time ...
