Thanks go to Pete Kruse (See Youtube user name: petekrusetunes ) -- This is video taken about 2 weeks before Rich Mullins tragic automotive accident. Rich never knew how much money his songs made. He was asked one time if he WANTED to know. He refused, and asked to be paid the average median wage of an American: so he recieved 35-40K a year. If there was anyone I ever wanted to just hang around and spend time listening too, and plumbing the depths of his soul, he is in my top 3. Just watching this video, I was already tearing up, eyes glistening, nose getting plugged up, mourning to the Lord in prayer why He had to take Rich so soon.. simultaneously rejoicing over the fruit of what Rich's music has produced, the Glory it has given to God-- Through all the noisy rhetoric in todays culture-- there are those who have discovered the road to walking with Jesus and living in His presence, and the overflow of this just rolls off onto you. Sometimes their theology is not as exactly ! as precise as Biblical Discernment scholars would demand... but you can tell that they have found a path few have trodden in this forest of trees. They know the way to a secret spot of prayer, around a tiny hidden pond, where they commune intimately with Jesus. I will have to wait until the other side of eternity to spend time with Rich--- after I have spent time with Jesus, and asking Him all of the questions I have... Enjoy this video.
