AHZEIT Lazy English Bee 1984. This is a very early recording of Achzeit, created at their 2nd or 3rd 'Achzeit Squad' meeting. Si proposed some layered tracking,to build up a full arrangement, and make a song... So, for the first track Vek played bass on a Korg MS10, and Si played congas. Plus, a Boss DR-55 drum machine added percussion. On the overdub Vek sang the thinner voice, grabbed odd items of percussion and played tin whistle pretty well here - he also played a high thin MS10 sound; Si sang the deeper voice, and played percussion. 'Our first ever identifiable "number", so to speak' says Vek. 'I made up the words as we were going along, and the 'bee' idea came from pre-Achzeit song times... This sets a tiny part of the Achzeit template - absurd lyrics! - and Achzeit have often referred to animals ever since.'
