The Zombies are an English rock band, formed in 1961 in St Albans and led by Rod Argent, on piano and keyboards, and vocalist Colin Blunstone. The group scored a UK and United States hit in 1964 with "She's Not There". In the USA two further singles, "Tell Her No" and, in 1968, "Time of the Season", were also successful. Begin Here is the debut album by the British pop rock band The Zombies, released in March 1965. The American version (titled The Zombies) repeated many of the tracks from it, but, as was common in those days, deleted some cuts and substituted some others. The 1999 CD reissue on Big Beat expands the track lineup substantially with the addition of three songs from their 1965 UK EP The Zombies and alternate takes of "Sticks and Stones" and "It's Alright With Me," as well as demos of "I Know She Will" and "I'll Keep Trying." The demos of these last two tunes are notable in that they don't have the overdubs on the versions available on other albums. The song "The! Way I Feel Inside" is featured in director Wes Anderson's film The Life Aquatic and is included in the film soundtrack. It plays after the helicopter crashes as a sort of funeral dirge. Additionally, the song She's Not There appears in Renny Harlin's film The Long Kiss Goodnight during Geena Davis's character's transformation from Samantha Caine to Charli Baltimore.
